Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore propose that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a quality sustenance measure. In line with the directives of NAAC, Yeldo Mar Baselios College IQAC was constituted in 2021. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the Yeldo Mar Baselios College‘s system and work towards the realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the Yeldo Mar Baselios College IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of Yeldo Mar Baselios College. For this, during the pre-accreditation period, Yeldo Mar Baselios College IQAC channelizes its efforts and measures toward promoting her holistic academic excellence.

The primary aim of IQAC is

To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.


Yeldo Mar Baselios College IQAC aims to be a catalyst in facilitating academic, research and extension activities, leading to innovative interventions in-tune with the vision of the College.

IQAC Mission

The primary aim of IQAC is

  • Promoting value driven knowledge generation and dissemination.
  • Facilitating collaborative quality enhancement.
  • Sensitisation to ethical and social issues by responding through community interventions.
  • To be a transformational leader in introducing innovations through ICT in teaching learning and evaluation.
  • Realizing the motto of the College by facilitating measures to ensure that knowledge leads to practice.
  • To promote ethics-based research culture on campus.
  • To develop mechanisms for academic writing and publications.
  • To develop linkages with Government, Non-Government Organisations and academic institutions for enhancing the teaching, research and extension activities of the College.

  • To prepare Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) and Self Study Reports (SSR).

  • To conduct AAA periodically to assess the performance of the departments.
  • To ensure optimum utilization of resources, skills and opportunities for quality enhancement.
  • Collect structured and unstructured feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Organizing regular capacity enhancement training programmes for the faculty and staff.
