The Department of Animation comes under the School of Media & Design Wing. Our Department provides Under Graduate programmes in BA Animation and Graphic Design and Post Graduate programme in MA Graphic Design.
We have a sophisticated infrastructure which provides the experiences of industry-oriented training. Facilities like Classical Animation Studio, Experimental 2D Animation Studio, Stop Motion & Asset making Lab, 3D Animation Lab etc and classrooms with fully ICT-enabled facilities for the modern teaching and learning experience.
Our faculty members are professionals with industrial experience in Art, Design, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, and Video Editing segments with an average of 15 years of exposure. Our teaching method is based on student-centric and students get chances to “earn while learning”.
We have a dedicated Placement Cell which offers placement services with excellent packages in multinational companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, 2Addpro etc. Alumni Students are the main publicity of our branding.
The Animation and Graphic Design Programme prepares graduates for a wide range of careers in the industry such as publication design, advertising design, broadcast design, interactive design, illustration, concept art, effects and animation etc. The skills taught in the programme encompass craft at a technical level and also include design, drawing, critical thinking, creativity, daring, collaboration, and a fundamental awareness of theory and history. Throughout the programme, students have engaged in all aspects of animation/graphic design production, from concept development and product design to the completion of finished segments.
Duration : 3 years (6 semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in +2/VHSE/Equivalent exam
The scope of Graphic Design has expanded in recent years and advances in communication technology have offered a host of new possibilities to the designer. The course aims at developing analytical skills and critical judgment enabling the student for technological and aesthetic innovations in the subject of Communication Design.
The Master’s program in Graphic Design begins with the study of design history, theory and traditional design skills, then progresses to current graphic design practices and technology. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers in the industry. The program seeks to develop designers with strong aesthetic and analytic skills capable of solving real-world communication design problems, integrating a command of visual language with imagination, theory and technology.
Duration : 2 years (4 semesters) Eligibility : Any degree with not less than 45% marks
